Further your studies at a university

You are more likely to be able to get promotions and earn more money if you have your Matric. This means that just having your Matric already improves your future prospects.

If you passed but do not get accepted into a university, you can study NATED courses, which are fully accredited and recognised worldwide. These courses go up to the Diploma level, which is just one level below a Bachelor’s Degree.

Yes, depending on how well you passed, you can go to university with your Senior Certificate (Amended), also known as an Adult Matric. You can then study for a Higher Certificate, a Diploma, or a Bachelor’s Degree.

NATED stands for National Accredited Technical Education Diploma. These qualifications are designed by the Department of Education and accredited by QCTO (the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations).

There are seven streams of study in NATED courses:
