This means you will study from the comfort of your own home, and you won’t need to wear a mask all day for your studies as you will not be personally interacting with anyone. This also means study time is flexible, so you can study to further your education while you work.
About Each ICB course:
ICB National Certificate in Junior Bookkeeping (NQF3):
The ICB National Certificate in Junior Bookkeeping is an NQF Level 3 qualification, meaning it does not require matric to study it.
Entry requirements:
- You must have Grade 10, or equivalent
- You must be at least 16 years of age
What you will be able to do once you have completed this course:
- Monthly bookkeeping to trial balance
- Reconcile suppliers
- Inventory and bank statements
- Calculate PAYE / UIF / SDL
- Payroll tax and other deductions
- EMP501, IRP5, IRP6 and IT3a documents and VAT returns

Accounts Clerk:
An Accounts Clerk is responsible for data entry, filing, balancing company ledgers, and may be put in charge of dealing with company clients.
Payscale: R65 000 – R248 000 per year
Debtors Clerk
A Debtors Clerk, also known as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, is responsible for credits and debits for company accounts, monitoring unpaid invoices, verifying payments and deposits, and following up with customers or clients who are late on payments.
Payscale: R88 000 – R251 000 per year
Creditors Clerk
A Creditors Clerk, also known as an Accounts Payable Clerk, is responsible for data entry, filing, preparing financial statements, and handling customer inquiries.
Payscale: R85 000 – R252 000 per year
Payroll Clerk
A Payroll Clerk is responsible for making sure company employees are paid correctly and on time. They are in charge of overseeing wages/salary adjustments in terms of unpaid sick leave, as well as checking signatures from managers or supervisors.
Payscale: R61 000 – R241 000 per year
ICB FET Certificate in Senior Bookkeeping (NQF4)
As an NQF Level 4 qualification, the ICB FET Certificate in Senior Bookkeeping does need prior knowledge on the subject, as do all qualifications above NQF Level 3.

- Be a certified Junior Bookkeeper

Senior Bookkeeper
A Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for managing company accounts, recording company financial transactions, and recording other company financial information, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales revenue, and distributing invoices.

Junior Accountant
A Junior Accountant is responsible for balancing financial records, preparing monthly financial reports, and recording company finances.
Payscale: R67 000 – R275 000 per year
Assistant Accountant
An Assistant Accountant is responsible for helping with general day-to-day management within the accounting department of the company. They are in charge of document filing, client correspondence, and answering the phones.
Payscale: R93 000 – R381k 000 per year
ICB National Diploma in Technical Financial Accounting (NQF5)
Entry requirements:
- Completed ICB FET Certificate in Senior Bookkeeping
OR
- Completed ICB National Diploma in Public Sector Accounting

- Be a certified Senior Bookkeeper
