Frequently Asked Questions

ICB means the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. It is a group that helps people learn skills in business and finance. The courses they offer are trusted and meet South African education rules.

There is only one ICB. But they offer different types of courses. You can choose to study Financial Accounting, Business Management, Office Administration, or Public Sector Accounting.

ICB courses match different NQF levels. These levels start at NQF Level 3 and go up to NQF Level 6. The level depends on which course and how far you go in your studies.

ICB helps you learn skills for jobs in bookkeeping, office work, and business. They give tests, mark your work, and hand out certificates when you pass. They make sure their courses are up to standard.

To pass an ICB course, you need to get at least 50% for each subject. Your final mark is made up of two parts: 30% comes from your assignments and tests (this is called your Portfolio of Evidence), and 70% comes from your final exam.
