Unisa Examination Timetable Changes due to 2019 General Election
Attention all Unisa Students!!!
The State of the Nation address, which was delivered on 7th February 2019 by President Cyril Ramaphosa, focused itself on a wide variety of topics and issues that lays on the average citizen’s mind in recent times such as:
- General unemployment;
- Foreign investment;
- The economy; and
One of the other topics that were briefly discussed was the announcement of the general election’s date, which will take place on the 8th May 2019. While that may be the set date for the general election, there has always been room for those who are unable to visit polling stations such as the elderly or those living abroad.
As Unisa have made some of their examination venues available as polling stations from the 6th May to 10th May 2019, the Unisa examination period has had to be rescheduled as to not clash with the election dates. As a result of the election, the exam dates for the first semester have been pushed forward and will now take place from the 26th April to 12th June 2019.
