You need to keep a close eye Unisa registration dates at all times. If you miss registering your subjects at the start of the term you will not be able to study in the coming 6 months.
If you just applied to UNISA and this is your first registration remember that your admittance is cancelled if you do not register for the next application period. That means you will have to apply all over again from scratch.
If you are a First-Year Student at Unisa in 2018, then you can study for free. If your household income is less than R350 000 per year, then NSFAS will fund your studies with a Bursary (free study), instead of a study loan.

3 to 26 January 2018
This is the period when you can register your subjects for the first term 2018:
- Undergraduate qualifications
- CTA and MCompt
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education, PGCE
3 January to 31 March 2018
This is the period when you can register for the following:
- Year modules for undergraduate qualifications
- Postgraduate diplomas
- Masters qualifications
- Doctoral qualifications
UNISA Opening Times
Official Saturdays open 13 and 20 January, 17 February, 30 June and 7 July 2018.
Self-help centres are open from 08:00 to 15:30 week days and from 08:00 to 11:30 on Saturdays.
