UNISA Semester 2 2023 Registration

The Unisa Semester 2 2023 registration window is now open for all applicants who is looking to study any of the following type of courses offered by the university:

 

  • Undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate diploma qualifications (semester modules only);
  • Masters’ and Doctoral qualifications (semester modules only); and
  • Short Learning Programmes.

Applicants have up to 4 weeks to register to study at the university, so there is plenty of time to get affairs in order before finalizing the registration.

Naturally, not all courses are available to study at the university for the second semester in 2023. The available courses is those that have available spots for students to enroll, so it’s unlikely that the most popular courses will be available for registration.

Who Can Register to Study at Unisa?

When it comes to registering to study a course at Unisa, only the following type of students can register:

 

  • Current students who are registering for their 2023 semester modules;
  • New selected applicants; and
  • Current Unisa students who successfully applied for admission to a new qualification.

Students who fail to register and pay the registration fees to finalize their registration will not be registered for the semester. Students & applicants will have to either re-register for their subjects in the next registration period (January 2024) or reapply during the 2024 application window.

 

The Unisa registration process is a fairly simple one. Students and applicants will have to visit the Unisa Web Registration website and follow the steps accordingly in order to successfully register for their chosen course.

 

Online registration has become the easiest method for applicants & students to register for their course, although the postal, fax, and self-help options are still available.

 

When registering, make sure that all information provided by yourself is correct. This includes your personal, delivery, and communication details. What are the Unisa Registration Fees for 2023?

The final date that applicants and current students can pay their registration fees in order to finalize their registration is 28 July 2023. However, not all registration fees for each of the different colleges are the same.

Yes, NSFAS does cover registration fees. If you have been approved for NSFAS funding, you will not need to pay for registration fees because NSFAS will cover you before the due date.

When choosing the right undergraduate qualification you should consider the following:

Yes, you can cancel your registration. You are going to need to login to the myUnisa site to cancel your registration. You will be forfeiting a part or all of your registration if you do cancel your registration

No, you will not need to attend classes. Unisa is a distance learning university, so there are no classes. There will be tutorial classes for some modules.

Yes, you can. Once your registration has been finalized, you will receive a letter confirming your registration for the year or the semester you registered for via your myLife email.

If you did not register before the registration deadline, then you’re bang out of luck. You will have to wait for the next registration (if you are a returning student) or application (if you are a new applicant or current student who is looking to move to a different course) window to start the process over from the beginning.

The short answer is YES. You will have to register each and every time if you studied the year before.

  • Unisa Semester 2 registration opens from 3 to 28 July 2023, with the minimum registration fee due to be paid by 28 July 2023.
  • The above is for undergraduate, postgraduate diplomas, honours, masters’ and doctoral studies.
  • Registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes is from 22 May to 14 July 2023.
  • For the Short Learning Programmes, you can apply and register for the programme during the registration period.
